FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: NASHVILLE DOWNTOWN PARTNERSHIP RELEASES 2022 ANNUAL REPORT AT OPEN HOUSE EVENT
Nashville, Tenn. – Nashville Downtown Partnership held its annual Open House on February 1, gathering downtown advocates and business leaders for a state of downtown discussion focusing on the Downtown Partnership’s 2022 Annual Report. President and CEO Tom Turner, Board Chairman William Hastings, and Mayor John Cooper all spoke of downtown Nashville’s success and future aspirations.
“Our Open House event is an opportunity for business and community leaders to come together under one roof and know that ‘downtown’ is the common denominator,” says Tom Turner, President and CEO of the Nashville Downtown Partnership. “We also like to use it as an opportunity to spell out just how successful our downtown is: Our just-released annual report shows that downtown’s retail vacancy rate sits at 3.7%; commercial vacancy remains lower than peers at 1.7 million square feet under construction, and $10 billion of public-private investments are currently in process or planned for the next 5 years. The market continues to be optimistic about downtown Nashville.”
“Downtown Nashville is an important economic engine, not just for Nashville and the entire region, but for the state of Tennessee,” said Mayor John Cooper. “I’m grateful to Nashville Downtown Partnership and its members for partnering with Metro on a number of essential initiatives that will make Nashville an even better place to live, work, play, and visit.”
The Annual Report provides a snapshot of the services delivered to the downtown neighborhood, economic development and market condition trends and standings, and a summary of the many neighborhood assets that were delivered to market throughout 2022.
